How to choose a format: Solo, Duo, Trio or no limit

The team limit defines how many players may play together. The format affects your experience more than anything else.

What the formats mean

Solo — strictly alone; Duo — at most two; Trio — three. Quad and no-limit servers also exist.

The limit is usually enforced by plugins that kick offenders from alliances. It is a server rule, not a game mechanic.

How we verify the limit

The format requires a source: owner confirmation, official server tags or a moderator decision.

If the limit is unknown, the page shows unknown. We do not guess it from the server name — the parser only suggests a value marked as inferred.

Practical advice

New players usually have a better time on Solo/Duo: less chance of meeting an organized group of eight.

Also check the online count and wipe freshness: a fresh Solo server with 50 players is livelier than a Trio with five.
